Our product range consists of powerful oem and smart cameras (color or greyscale, ccd and cmos versions available), starting with simple but powerful sensors or board level cameras to fully fledged stand alone vision systems with own PC infrastructure. XIMEA’s line of machine vision cameras comprises a growing number of high performance camera models, featuring Intel Atom processors easy to use with all PC-compatible vision libraries.
XIMEA’s aim is to give the automation industry the free choice over the deployed machine vision libraries while using compact and fast, PC-compatible hardware with less overhead and higher ROI thanks to our industry-challenging prices. Our camera’s support for standard protocols such as RS232, IE1934, GenICam/GenTL, GigE Vision or PLC integration – to name just a few of our innovative feature-set – make our machine vision cameras one of the most competitive solutions for visual inspection applications.
For some 20 years our company members contributed to the evolution of the vision industry. Important milestones include, but are not limited to: the implementation of Fast Fourier Transform running in real time on the first Pentium PCs , Firewire (IEEE-1394) cameras with cooling, early USB cameras, drafting and publishing of the CameraExpress standard and of course one of the first Atom based smart cameras out on the market.
XIMEA is the marketing arm of SOFTHARD Technology Ltd. and develops with over 19 specialists in Germany (XIMEA GmbH), in the USA (XIMEA Corp) and Slovakia (XIMEA s.r.o.).
